A Prayer

Dear God,

Help me to trust.

Help me to not react too quickly in fear and anger.

Help me to see everything through the lens of love.

Help me to remember that your ways are not my ways, and your time is different than our time.

Help me to be patient.

Help me to err on the side of compassion.

Help me to make my first reaction a blessing rather than a defensive shielding.

Most of all, 

Help me to experience your love,

Especially when I am weary.

Enfold me in your arms.

In the name of Jesus the Christ, the Incarnation of your Word and Love, who I am meant to emulate and see in others, I pray to you.
